Lowest Number of Government Schools:
–North Central Province: 811 schools (17 national, 794 provincial)
Provincial Distribution:
– The Western and Central Provinces have the highest numbers of education zones and divisions, facilitating a larger number of schools.
– The Uva Province has the smallest number of schools at 895, with 38 education zones and divisions combined.
