Vacancy Announcement: Lecturer Positions at the National Institute of Social Development
The National Institute of Social Development (NISD), under the Ministry of Women, Child Affairs, and Social Empowerment, has announced two vacant positions for Lecturer II. This opportunity is available for both external and internal applicants who meet the specified qualifications and criteria.
Position: Lecturer II (02 Vacancies)
Age Limit:
– Applicants must be at least 22 years old and no older than 45 years as of the application closing date.
– The maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants.
Educational Qualifications:
– For External Applicants:
1. A four-year Bachelor of Social Work degree or a Special degree in Social Sciences recognized by the University Grants Commission.
2. A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Social Sciences recognized by the University Grants Commission and a Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field.
– For Internal Applicants:
1. Must meet the qualifications required for external applicants.
Interview Marking Criteria:
1. Educational Qualifications (in addition to basic qualifications): 30 marks
2. Teaching Experience: 10 marks
3. Research & Publications: 20 marks
4. Extracurricular Activities: 10 marks
5. Personality: 15 marks
6. General Knowledge on Related Field: 15 marks
Total Marks: 100
Salary Scale:
– AR-1 Rs. (53,150 – 10 x 1,375 – 15 x 1,910 – 95,550)
Service Conditions:
1. Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens.
2. The position is permanent.
3. Contributions to EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) are required at government-approved percentages.
4. Selected employees must undergo a three-year probation period.
Additional
– The selected applicants will serve in the Main Office at Seeduwa.
– The vacancy exists at the Main Office, and service conditions are subject to the National Institute of Social Development Act, No. 41 of 1992, and the rules and regulations imposed by the Government from time to time.
