Vacancies at Ceylon German Technical Training Institute
The Ministry of Education’s Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research, and Innovation Division has announced several vacancies at the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) and CGTTI-Amaduruwa Regional Center. Applications are invited for the following permanent positions:
1. Deputy Director – Deputy Principal (HM 1-3)
Qualifications:
– External:
– BSc degree in Automobile/Mechanical or Electrical Engineering recognized by the University Grants Commission.
– Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Business Administration.
– 15 years of managerial experience in the public sector or a private sector organization at a Senior Managerial Level.
– Corporate Membership of a recognized professional institution in the engineering field.
– Internal:
– Completion of a minimum of five years satisfactory service in the post of Chief Engineer (Training), Chief Engineer (Production, Services and Maintenance) in the Senior Manager (HM 1-1) category.
Age Limit: 40-55 years.
Salary Scale: According to DMS Circular No. 02/2016.
Method of Recruitment: Structured interview.
2. Chief Engineer (Training) – (HM 1-1)
Qualifications:
– External:
– Degree in Automobile/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering recognized by the University Grants Commission.
– Fellow Membership of a recognized Professional Chartered Institute.
– 15 years of managerial experience in a relevant field.
– Internal:
– Same qualifications as external candidates and a minimum of three years satisfactory service in a relevant Manager (HM 1-1) category post.
Age Limit: 35-55 years.
Salary Scale: According to DMS Circular No. 02/2016.
Method of Recruitment: Structured interview.
3. Registrar – (HM 1-1)
Qualifications:
– External:
– Degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Commerce, Business Administration, or Law.
– Corporate Membership of a recognized professional institute in a relevant field.
– 15 years of managerial experience in a recognized institution.
– Internal:
– Same qualifications as external candidates and a minimum of three years satisfactory service in a relevant Manager (HM 1-1) category post.
Age Limit: 35-55 years.
Salary Scale: According to DMS Circular No. 02/2016.
Method of Recruitment: Structured interview.
4. Planning Officer – (JM 1-1)
Qualifications:
– External:
– Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Economics recognized by the University Grants Commission.
– One-year postgraduate experience in a relevant planning field.
Age Limit: 22-45 years.
Salary Scale: According to DMS Circular No. 02/2016.
Method of Recruitment: Structured interview.
5. Instructor (MA 2-2)
Qualifications:
– Successful completion of NVQ Level 5 or 6 in relevant fields with three years of experience or equivalent qualifications.
Age Limit: 18-45 years.
Salary Scale: According to DMS Circular No. 02/2016.
Method of Recruitment: Written competitive examination and/or Structured interview.
6. Instructor – Tamil Medium (MA 2-2)
Qualifications:
– Successful completion of a relevant Diploma Course and three years of experience or equivalent qualifications.
Age Limit: 18-45 years.
Salary Scale: According to DMS Circular No. 02/2016.
Method of Recruitment: Written competitive examination and/or Structured interview.
