Teacher Promotion Professional Review Cancelled
The Ministry of Education has officially announced the cancellation of the professional review process for teacher promotions, originally scheduled for December 29, 2023. The decision was communicated through the Ministry’s circular No. 50/2023, dated August 15, 2024.
The circular, issued by the Secretary of the Ministry of Education, references previous guidelines under Circulars No. 1885/38 dated October 23, 2014, and No. PSC/EST/7/2/1(11) from 2012. The Ministry emphasized that the conditions under Circular No. 11.2.3, which were previously required for teacher promotions, have now been revised.
This decision affects all pending professional reviews scheduled for the end of this year. The Ministry has urged all relevant authorities to take note of the cancellation and make necessary adjustments to the promotion process.
Educators awaiting promotions based on the previously outlined professional review will no longer be required to undergo this process. Further instructions regarding any alternate measures or promotion criteria will be communicated in due course.
The Ministry’s circular concludes by requesting compliance from all educational institutions and relevant parties, ensuring that the updated guidelines are followed promptly.
