The Ministry of Education has declared the resumption of classes for state schools during the second phase of the third academic term in 2023. As per the announcement, government and government-approved private schools following Sinhala and Tamil mediums will begin the second phase on Thursday, February 01, 2024.
Meanwhile, government and government-approved private Muslim schools are scheduled to start the second phase on Thursday, January 11, 2024, for the third academic term of 2023.
Muslim Schools used as GCE A/L Centers will be opened on February 01, 2024.
