Higher National Diploma in Irrigation Technology: Kothmale International Training Institute for Irrigation Technology

Calling all aspiring irrigation professionals!

The Kothmale International Training Institute for Irrigation Technology, a government institution under the Tertiary & Vocational Education Commission, is offering a 3-year full-time Higher National Diploma (HND) in Irrigation Technology. This program is designed to equip qualified Sri Lankan candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field.

Who can apply?

Unmarried Sri Lankan citizens
Under 25 years of age by the application deadline (July 14th, 2024)
In good physical and mental health
Passed G.C.E. (O/L) with a minimum “C” in English
Passed G.C.E. (A/L) in the physical science stream with passes in all three subjects obtained in a single sitting
Possess a good command of the English language (training conducted in English)

Selection Process:

Written Aptitude Test (1.5 hours): Assesses mathematics, general knowledge, and intelligence.
Interview: Shortlisted candidates based on written test scores.
Selection: Top scorers from both stages will be chosen for the program.

Submit scanned copies of G.C.E. (O/L), G.C.E. (A/L) certificates, and birth certificate (all in PDF format) for verification.

Important Notes:

The government covers tuition and hostel fees. However, students are responsible for food, personal expenses, and other incidental costs.
Selected candidates must sign an agreement to complete the program within the allocated timeframe and abide by institute rules.
Early termination of the program requires full reimbursement of government-funded expenses.
Successful graduates receive an NVQ-6 certificate upon completion of all semester exams and final assessments.
