Sources in the examination department said that the results of the General Certificate of Education examination are scheduled to be released between the 30th of this month and the 02nd of December, aruna.lk reported.

About 300,000 school and private applicants appeared for this examination held from May 29 to June 8.

A department spokesman said that the delay in conducting the last A-level examination and the evaluation of the answer sheets also affected the release of these results. The university teachers had boycotted the evaluation of answer sheets in protest against the tax levied when they were earned.
