Education and Technology Specialist Position- Full time – UNICEF
Full-Time National UN Volunteer Specialist position for an Education and Technology Specialist role.
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is looking for a qualified candidate to fill this role in Sri Lanka. The chosen candidate will be placed in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Here are some of the qualifications and experience required for the position:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as technology, business administration, management, public relations, international development, or a related field. A background in computer science, technology-related areas, or EdTech is preferred.
- Three years of progressively responsible professional experience in a technology startup, business environment, management consulting role, or a demonstrably relevant field. Prior experience in international settings is advantageous. Proven experience in strategic planning, stakeholder analysis, and advocacy in the context of international development or connectivity projects is required.
- Experience with ICT hardware, mobile phones, and web-based technologies, particularly designing or deploying tools for low-bandwidth environments.
- Proficiency in quantitative & qualitative statistics with government data (census, EMIS, location) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of English is required and fluency in Sinhala and/or Tamil is required.
