Director (Information Communication Technology) – Eastern University of Sri Lanka
The Eastern University of Sri Lanka is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the part-time position of Director/Centre for Information and Communication Technology (CICT) [2].
Eligibility
The applicant must be a Senior Lecturer Gr. II or above from the Eastern University of Sri Lanka [2].
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of tasks including:
- Developing a strategic plan for the advancement of IT at the Eastern University of Sri Lanka [2].
- Overseeing the implementation of a Management Information System (MIS) and a Learning Management System (LMS) at the university [2].
- Ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the university’s wide area network [2].
- Making sure that existing IT resources are used effectively [2].
- Promoting IT-related courses [2].
- Keeping the university’s IT facilities up-to-date [2].
- Carrying out other duties assigned by the Vice Chancellor [2].
Terms of Appointment
The appointment is for a one-year period initially, with the possibility of extension for up to three years based on performance [2]. The successful candidate will be paid a monthly allowance of Rs. 4,000 [2].
