Diploma In Public Law – 2024

University of Colombo Offering Diploma in Public Law

The Faculty of Law, University of Colombo is now offering a Diploma In Public Law – 2024 (DPL) program. This is a one-year program designed for those who want to gain a qualification in public law.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have a three-pass G.C.E A/L or an equivalent qualification.
OR
Six passes in G.C.E. O/L with two years of experience in a relevant field.
OR
A foundation course equivalent to SLQF level 2.
OR
Completion of NVQF level and five years’ work experience in a related field or accredited prior learning followed by a corresponding program of minimum 30 credits as determined by the academic authority of the HEI.
OR
Successful completion of Advanced Certificate Courses offered by the Department of Public & International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Colombo.

Other Information

The program is offered in Sinhala/Tamil and English.
The course fee is Rs. 100,000, payable in two installments.
Lectures will be held on weekends in a hybrid mode (online and in-person).
The application deadline is April 30, 2024 and the program commences in June 2024.
