Department of Examinations Begins Paper Marking 2023 G.C.E. Advanced Level Answer Scripts
(Feb. 1), the Department of Examinations has initiated the paper marking for the 2023 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination answer scripts. According to a media release by the Ministry of Education, paper-marking personnel, including chief evaluators, will receive the same amount as last year.
The 2023 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination took place from January 4 to 31 across more than 2,300 examination centers, accommodating a total of 346,976 candidates participating in this nationally significant assessment. Among them, 281,445 candidates were school applicants, while the remaining 65,531 were private applicants.
However, students are facing the Agricultural Science question papers I and II once again today (Feb. 1) due to the cancellation and rescheduling of the earlier tests. The January examination session was invalidated after it was discovered that several questions from both Paper I and II had been leaked.
On January 12, Paper II of the Agricultural Science subject was canceled, followed by the cancellation of Paper I on January 17. Consequently, the Department of Examinations announced a new date for the Agricultural Science test.
As per the updated schedule, the test is set for today, with Paper II scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 11:40 a.m., followed by Paper I from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
