The Faculty of Indigenous Medicine at the University of Colombo is pleased to offer a Certificate Course on Hijamah (Cupping Therapy) and Irsal-e-Alaq (Leech Therapy), designed for medical professionals interested in expanding their expertise in traditional therapeutic practices. The program is led by the Department of Unani Clinical Medicine and Unani Pharmacology, providing a comprehensive understanding of these ancient healing techniques.

Course Duration:
- 3 Months (Conducted on Saturdays)
- Tentative Start Date: 21st September 2024
Medium of Instruction:
- English, assisted with Tamil/Sinhala

Program Eligibility:

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS)
Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS)
Equivalent qualifications recognized by the Faculty Board of Faculty of Indigenous Medicine

Candidates meeting these eligibility requirements will be admitted to the program upon successful completion of an interview.
