Applications for Provincial Director of Education Positions
The Ministry of Education in Sri Lanka is seeking qualified applicants to fill vacant positions for Provincial Director of Education in two provinces: Eastern Province and Sabaragamuwa Province.
This announcement applies to officers in Grade I of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of satisfactory service in Grade I of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service.
- They must have completed a satisfactory and active service period after being promoted to Grade I.
- All qualifications must be completed by the application closing date.
Application Process:
- Applications should be prepared in accordance with the provided specimen application on A4 paper.
- Completed applications must be sent by registered mail to the Assistant Secretary, Education Services Establishments Branch, Ministry of Education, Isurupaya, Battaramulla.
- The application deadline is July 9th, 2024 (09.07.2024).
- The envelope containing the application must be clearly marked “The application for the Post of Provincial Director of Education” in the top left corner. Late applications will be rejected.
- A recent colored photograph (size 2″ x 2.5″) must be attached to the top right corner of the application form.
Selection Process:
- The Education Service Committee of the Public Service Commission will make the final appointments based on recommendations from a three-member interview board appointed by the Public Service Commission. This board will also include a representative nominated by the Governor of the relevant province.
- A structured interview will be held at a date to be announced later at the Ministry of Education in Isurupaya, Battaramulla.
