All Island School and Open Poster Competition 2024 Ministry of Mass Media
In celebration of the International Day of Right to Information, the Ministry of Mass Media is organizing an All Island School and Open Poster Competition for 2024. This annual event aims to promote the importance of the right to information among the youth and the general public of Sri Lanka.
Competition Sections
The competition is divided into three sections:
1. Senior Section: Open to students in Grades 12 and 13.
2. Junior Section: Open to students in Grades 9, 10, and 11.
3. Open Section: Open to any citizen of Sri Lanka.
Conditions of the Competition
Participants must adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Applications should be submitted in a self-prepared format, as specified on the competition website.
2. School division application forms and poster drawings must be certified by the school principal.
3. Artists in the open division must certify their own creations.
4. All creations should be sent by registered post to:

5. Posters must be on 18”x24” size paper.
6. The deadline for submissions is August 20, 2024.
7. Poster drawings can be in any medium or language.
8. School applicants must label the top left corner of the envelope with “School Division – Poster Drawing Competition – 2024.”
9. Open competition applicants must label the top left corner of the envelope with “Open Division – Poster Drawing Competition – 2024.”
10. Selected creations will become the property of the Ministry of Mass Media.
Prizes and Certificates
Winners selected at the island level will receive prizes and certificates at the International Day of Right to Information celebration on September 28, 2024, in Colombo. Selected drawings will be showcased at the Public Exhibition on that day.

Participants can choose from the following topics:
1. Right to Information empowers a citizen.
2. Right to Information is the wire of democracy.
3. Efficient public service through Right to Information.
4. Right to Information and our village development.
5. Benefits of Right to Information to the people of the nation.
