Admission to Automobile Engineering Training Institute (Japan Tec) | The Automobile Engineering Training Institute, under the supervision of the National Apprentice & Industrial Training Authority (NAITA), is calling for applications from Sri Lankan youth aged 16-25 for the 2025 recruitment of apprentices. This opportunity is open to those who are passionate about entering the automotive industry and wish to gain professional training in various specialized fields.

Available Full-Time Courses:

Automobile Technician (2.5 years, Rs. 200,000)
Automobile Electrician (2.5 years, Rs. 200,000)
Machinist/CNC (3 years, Rs. 170,000)
Automobile A/C Mechanic (2 years, Rs. 70,000)
Automobile Tinker (1 year, Rs. 30,000)
Automobile Painter (1.5 years, Rs. 50,000)

Educational Qualifications:

Applicants must have passed the G.C.E. O/L examination in two sittings with six subjects, including Sinhala, Mathematics, and Science.
Age requirements differ by course but generally fall between 16-25 years as of January 1, 2025.
Specific courses require passing G.C.E. O/L in a government or government-recognized school.

Important Details:

A limited number of selected apprentices will also have the opportunity to be recruited for evening courses with a 50% discount on the course fee.
Applicants are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 1,000 to the Dematagoda branch of the People’s Bank and submit the application form with the payment slip by September 11, 2024.
