60000 Applications for College of Education
Education Minister Susil Premjayant revealed today that a staggering 60,000 students have applied for new admission of the college of Education. Speaking in Parliament, Minister Premjayant confirmed that the recruitment process will commence next week. Additionally, he disclosed that 4,160 individuals who have completed college training are set to depart from their respective colleges to the Teacher Service.
Responding to a query posed by Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa, Minister Premjayant stated that 23,005 individuals are being recruited to fill teacher vacancies across the country. This announcement comes as the education sector braces for significant changes in staffing and recruitment.
