2023 G.C.E. O/L Paper Marking Postponed to June 8

The Department of Examinations has announced a postponement in the commencement of the evaluation activities for the 2023/2024 G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination answer sheets. Initially set to begin on June 6, the evaluation will begin on June 8, 2024.

Commissioner General of Examinations, Amith Jayasundara, issued a statement explaining that the decision was made due to the adverse weather conditions, which could pose difficulties for examiners traveling to the evaluation centers.

The evaluation activities will now be conducted from June 8 to June 17 at 101 centers established across the island. This adjustment aims to ensure the safety and convenience of all examiners involved in the process.
